We are Maxi and Cathi, two friends behind Belted Collective.
We first met by chance in Hong Kong in 2024. A year later, we moved to the same city to begin our studies: Maastricht. This time, we really got to know each other, and alongside our friendship, the idea for Belted Collective slowly emerged.
We started small. Handmade chokers made from fabrics we found at our local weekly market. Each choker is one of a kind, handcrafted by the two of us. Nothing fancy — just something we truly enjoyed making and wearing ourselves.
In January 2025, we flew to Hong Kong together to visit friends, experience the city again, and work on a new project. We found Meiling, a tailor who works exclusively on a made-to-measure basis, and together we designed the "Mandarin Cord Jacket."
At Belted, we only create what we genuinely love to wear ourselves, and pieces we're proud to pass on.
